The place I find strength :)

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace"
- Helen Lemmel

Hebrews 12:2 -Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God

The album is on it's way. November!

Outrageous October... God is good :)

I just arrived Ranau the 2nd time this week. I was here 2 days ago but had to come back for 2 meetings and had to see the doctor coz I fell really sick in Ranau. Not fully recovered from the diarrhea but am slowly regaining my strength back.

The past two weeks has been interesting. Since September, I've had so many visitors to my studio and this month is no exception.

I finally received Tim Lim's album (www.myspace.com/timlimproject), which was released 9th Sept. I'm glad he likes it and I'm proud to have produced it. I also met up with HK artiste in KL who were doing a concert at a church there.

Sibu was also fun. A teacher who came for the training linked me to some pictures on facebook of the Youth Alpha course that she and her colleagues started in their school in Sibu! Awesome stuff. Greater things... greater things.. more more!

I returned KK to a very important dinner that has been planned for over 6 months. The Alpha Intro Dinner at Beverly Hotel, KK. It was good being able to introduce the Alpha team to the local vibe and food.

I was very honored to have Louis Pang (www.louispang.com) and Melvin Migin (www.melvinmigin.com), both very prominent photographers internationally at my studio to do some work and also make me look good in camera :)

Went to the island with Joe Loy (www.joeloy.blogspot.com) during his Worship Central visit to KK. It was good time and even greater coz we made new friends from Hong Kong. You just dont know what you can find in the ocean.

It was in march when I brought Roger Wang's (www.rogerwang.net) guitar to KL to be measured to make his custom made harp guitar and now it's finally done! It feels and sounds amazing. I am praying that I'll get my custom made guitar soon too. Anyone interested to sponsor? :)

Speaking in a session tonight about prayer. So, please pray with me for a great night with God.

Puff your ass off

Dear friends (especially to those who has not given up smoking),
I took the liberty of taking a picture of this in Sunway Pyramid's toilet. Ladies and gents alike, look hotter without puffing.

Cheers

My Story #3

I'm posting this at a KFC having pepsi here in Sibu because the place I'm staying does not have internet connection. I must say, the prawn mee here in Sibu is so good! A must try when you come here. I am looking forward to meeting locals and of coz more of the food.

'My Story', a showcase of local talents, which I've been hosting for the third time now will be happening at Halo Cafe on the 24th October (saturday) starting at 8pm. Do come along and bring your friends to get a taste of local talents and also hear their side of the story too.

I've posted a short write up of each of them in the 'My Story' blog www.mystorymy.blogspot.com

KKBANDWIDTH's October issue will also be featuring My Story and this round's line up.

Till then, just to share something personal, I'm starting to get tired from travelling so I would really appreciate prayers for strength and passion in continuing the task set before me.

See you guys soon!

Raymond Goh @ Refuge Studios

I had Raymond Goh in the studio to track for one of Cherry L's song. He's a drummer with a big heart and big sound too!

This video was done right after the recording session and he was jamming along to 'Somebody's Watching'.

Three by Jonathan Tse

Just wrote this song a week ago. It's inspired by a friend who was leaving the country back to her home. She wants to say goodbye to her lover and also give three words, three things, three wish. Friends in three days, lovers for three months... I'm sure you'll know why this title now :)

enjoy listening as I've enjoyed writing this.

Goodnight My Dear

Wrote this song when I was still in KL. She called and the last words we shared with one another... 'Goodnight My Dear'

It's not going to be in the album so I thought I'd share this with you here. Yes, it does sound cheesy but hey, I can't help it! :)

Goodnight My Dear
by Jonathan Tse

Would it be too hard to bear with a little pain
let me tell you the story of this pain and how it came
I cant turn back the clock or else I'd yearn to change
this little choice I've made seems to be such a big mistake

why did you choose to give up and lose?
Why cant you wait?
not too long, instead you said

Goodnight my dear
these are the last words that I'd hear
not too long it's too clear
its goodnight my dear
Good night my love
I wish these words would never end
everytime I sleep I dream to hold your hand
but instead it's goodnight my love

driving aimlessly I took myself to that road
where you and I used to smile
laugh and shared words of love, oh love
every night I pray that we could be more than just friends
but circumstances in life seems to really be againts
I wonder if were meant to be only friends

Enjoy ya'll!

Roger Wang Rehearsing!

video

I got bored when I was waiting for my turn to rehearse. The next best thing to do was to take a video!
Check out Peter Lau's gig box. It's homemade. Don't be fooled by the size. It sounds huge!

Recording with Nick Lee & Jun Tingzon

video

Last weekend has been an exciting one. Refuge Studios was visited by the legendary producer Nick Lee, who came all the way from KL! We recorded for 2 days with Jun on guitars and it was really fun.

I'm thinking of blogging his profile here but a bit 'malas' now. Maybe later?

Have fun watching this
